Cooking skills

We assume you know the basics of cooking, that is how to cut and sauté vegetables and boil rice. You will also need the basic cooking tools at home, as pots and pans, a grater, and a colander.

Preparation

We send you enough ingredients per recipe to serve 4-5 people (4 adult portions). However, feel free to choose the appropriate amount of pasta, rice and potatoes for your family’s appetite. The spice measurements are also approximate, so make sure to taste and season according to your family’s liking. Also make sure you keep your groceries in a place where they stay fresh. Depending on the order in which you choose to cook the recipes, it would be recommended to freeze meats, fish and chicken that will be used much later in the week.

In your pantry

In each delivery you will find most ingredients you need for the week’s meals, but we assume you to have certain basic ingredients at home. If we were to deliver every single item we would soon build up an unnecessarily large stock of supplies like spices, olive oil etc. Don’t worry if you don’t have the exact list at home, you can always skip or choose a different spice then is recommended.

Spices:
Fresh garlic
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Chili spice
Hot sauce
Dried herbs (oregano, basil, bay leaves, herbes de Provence)
Ground nutmeg
Ground Cumin
Cumin seeds
Allspice
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Coriander
Paprika powder

In the pantry:
Extra virgin olive oil
Red wine Vinegar
White wine Vinegar
Balsamic Vinegar
Soy sauce
All purpose flour or Cornstarch
Sugar
Brown sugar
Honey
Breadcrumbs
Fish sauce
Rice vinegar
Sesame oil
Rice*

In the fridge:
Unsalted butter
Dijon mustard
Milk
Eggs
Parmigiano Reggiano**

*In order to avoid half empty packages, we don’t include rice in every delivery that requires rice. We do however include it about once every two months.

**We include a block of Parmigiano Reggiano about once every two months. We often use it in different recipes and other times you can just grate some on your pasta.
